Agri Commodities Review: Chana Increases On Decline In Sowing Acreage
06-Nov-18   17:42 Hrs IST

Heavy buying was seen across all the selected agri commodities due to possible decline in major rabi crop production. Some of the commodities such as chana and mustard seed have witnessed fresh buying from lower levels.

In today's trading, the NCDEX chana futures added 4% due to possibility of weak sowing in major states as cultivators may opt for mustard seed crop in the coming season.

Strong buying interest was also seen in mustard seed counter in today's trading as most of the speculators are expecting recovery in crushing demand in the coming days. The NCDEX Mustard November settled at Rs 4097 per quintal, up 0.28 percent from last close. On the other hand, selling was seen in soaybean market as prices declined today due to bearish cues from international market along with ideas that Soyabean supplies would gain strength in near term.
