Agri Commodities Review: Chana Recovers From Lower Levels, Demand Seen In Guarseed
10-Oct-18   17:58 Hrs IST

Stockiest buying was seen across all the major agri commodities due to recovery in physical demand during festival season. Some of the commodities such as wheat and turmeric have witnessed some buying, while weakness was seen in soya oil counter. On the other side, commodities like guarseed and guargum rebounded from its lows.

In today's trading, the NCDEX chana futures added 0.20% due to possibility of weak sowing in major states as prices are trading at lower levels and cultivators may opt for mustard seed crop in the coming season.

Strong buying interest was also seen in guarseed counter in today's trading as most of the speculators are expecting recovery in guar gum exports in the current season. The NCDEX Guarseed November settled at Rs 4266 per quintal, up 0.28 percent from last close. On the other hand selling was seen in soaybean market as prices declined today due to bearish cues from international market along with ideas that Soyabean supplies would gain strength in near term.
