Turnover in F&O segment slumps

The Nifty January 2019 futures traded at 10,782, a premium of 54.65 points from the Nifty's closing of 10,727.35 in the cash market.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment was Rs 6.87 lakh crore compared with Rs 18.81 lakh crore reported in the previous session.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 55.10 points or 0.52% to settle at 10,727.35

ICICI Bank, Reliance Industries and State Bank of India were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

ICICI Bank January 2019 futures traded at 368.05, compared with spot closing price of 366.35. Reliance Industries January 2019 futures traded at 1,106.75, compared with spot closing price of 1,099.60. State Bank of India January 2019 futures traded at 299.35, compared with spot closing price of 297.30

The January 2019 F&O contracts expire on 31 January 2019.
